Web / Graphic Designer – Kansas City

As a Web / Graphic Designer at Catapult, you’ll primarily focus on designing and building client websites, while also tackling a variety of graphic design projects. From crafting brand identities to developing marketing materials, you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your diverse skill set. Requirements

The ideal candidate:

• Has 2+ years of experience in web and graphic design
• Is proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with knowledge of responsive design principles
• Has a strong command of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Is able to pick up and learn new software suites easily
• Demonstrates expertise in UI/UX best practices and current design trends (both web and print)
• Is familiar with popular CMS platforms and has experience with at least one web framework
• Possesses excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Demonstrates a solid understanding of design concepts. Real-world experience is a plus, but a killer portfolio will get you in the door.
• Sees the potential in every assignment, big or small.
• Cares about the little details.
• Brings a positive, team-oriented attitude to the workplace
• Has a relevant degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, or equivalent experience
• Willingness to learn additional skills and software for a collaborative environment
• Strong time-management skills – self-motivated, self-starter
• 2 years of experience (preferred)
• Agency experience (preferred)

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop responsive, user-friendly websites
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for web projects
• Design print materials, including brochures, posters, and business cards
• Develop brand identities and ensure consistent application across all media
• Collaborate with clients and team members to understand project requirements
• Ensure all designs are on-brand and meet client objectives
• Optimize websites for maximum speed and scalability
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and design trends in both web and print
